Spingo is a combination of roulette and bingo. Hence the name Spingo – a combination of spinning the roulette wheel and also yelling, “Bingo!”
You have 21 balls. Two of each of the numbers one through 10, and then one numbered zero. For each round, one of these balls is drawn and it's placed into a wheel that has colored slots - eight for yellow, red and blue, and one for green – and it looks just like a roulette wheel.
There are a bunch of bets that can be made, including:
- Number: This bet pays nine-to-one for correctly choosing the number that will be chosen from the 21 balls.
- Color: Paying out at two-to-one odds, you have to choose whether the ball will land in the red, yellow or blue slots on the wheel.
- Number/Color Combination: Pick the number of the ball PLUS the colored slot it will land in. The payout for this one is 31-to-one.
- Green: If you bet on the green slot and that is where the ball lands, the bet pays out at 23-to-one.
- Zero: Bet on the zero ball being picked from the hopper, and if it does it pays out at 19-to-one odds.
- Odd/Even: This pays out at even money.
- 1-5 or 6-10: This also pays even money.
While there are no bonus features or mini-games or any fancy whistles, horns and bells, Spingo is a unique table game with a lot of opportunity for decent payouts. It's a nice break from the more traditional roulette wheel, and for those who like Bingo, it's a step up from the usual letter/number action. You should give it a shot – you will probably love it and want to keep playing!
