Microgaming has developed an interesting online, no-download slot machine game called Flying Ace. It has the look of an old-school, retro one-armed bandit that you'd find on the casino floor. So what does that mean for our players? Let's get into it.
Well, for one thing, there are no wilds, free spins or bonus games. You spin to win, and that's it. While this may be a turn-off for some players, other players enjoy the straight-forward nature of games like Flying Ace. No cutscenes, no crazy animations. Just play to win.
The game has three reels and five pay lines, and like the old-school slot designs, it is in a corner of the screen, while the rest of the screen's real estate is taken up by payout tables and the game's logo. Sadly, though, the game's player dashboard is not incorporated into the design, like other retro games. It's a bit of a letdown, as it looks like it was designed about 15 years ago. Not great.
Icons include blonde bombshells on top of – well, bombshells (missiles), a classic aviator wearing goggles, and a leather bomber jacket, single, double and triple bars and a big “A” symbol for “Ace”. The aviator is wild for all symbols.
The minimum bet is .25 credits a spin. The maximum is 25 credits a spin. You can adjust the number of coins per bet, how much you're betting, and whether you want to bet one or bet the maximum with one click of a button.
