Nolimitcity is a new game provider at Stakers. Over the past few weeks, we've added roughly ten games from them. Because they are new, we know our players might be a little bit wary of them. Figuring out what games are going to be good for which players is something we like to do at Stakers. And we figure playing it and then giving you our honest opinion is a great way to do that.
We chose Kitchen Drama BBQ Frenzy pretty much at random. It looked to have the most features of any of their games, and also looked sorta fun. Our team put it through its paces. We played betting two credits a spin for two hours.
Here's what we found out.
The game is played on a barbecue grill. The icons you see are all things you would grill up including corn, steaks, peppers and the like. The game varies from typical slots in one way: You still have to get at least three alike icons to score a win, but when you do so, they will disappear and the icons above them will fall into place. This can set up additional wins.
The hot chilli is your wild card and comes up quite a bit.
There are also two meters – one of the left of the playing area and one on the right. The one of the right is what you want to pay attention to. It's called the Fiery Chili bonus. When you get three wins in a row, it will fill up. Then it will spin and select a random icon. This icon will turn into a wild chilli across the board. It's a great way to stack up wins.
The meter on the left is less interesting. It contains a steak, a pepper and a mushroom. If you manage to get all three at once, you'll earn free spins. This happens very rarely, however – just once in the two hours we played – so we don't advise you to count on it happening.
Instead, focus on the Fiery Chili bonus – it comes up fairly regularly and can deliver some decent wins.
What we discovered is that this a very low to medium variance game. Neither our losses nor our wins were particularly big. We started with a balance of 1,000 credits. At the end of two hours of playing we had 998 credits. That's as close to even as you are going to get.
Which is not a bad thing. We know lots of Stakers players love low variance games. They mean you can play for a long time even if you don't have a huge bankroll. And playing is what Stakers is all about!
Of course, if you are looking to rack up big wins – or if you just want a bit more risk in your game – then you'll probably want to play something a bit higher variance.
Overall we give the game four out of five stars. We deduct one star because the meter on the left is just so darn hard to trigger. But at the end of the day, that's not a hugely bad thing. You do have the other meter to trigger and it pays off well enough.
So the bottom line is if you want a fun, engaging, low variance game, Kitchen Drama BBQ Frenzy is apt to be a good choice for you. If you want something higher variance, you can look elsewhere and find it.
